Clarix is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service and never sell your personal data to third parties.

Clarix ("we", "our", "us") is an iOS application developed and operated by Ahsan. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at clarix@haaa.in.

Account information
- Name and email address (required to create and identify accounts)
- Role (Teacher, Student, or Parent)
- Password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication — we never see your plain-text password)
Content you create
- Assignments, quiz questions, grades, and feedback
- Announcements and school updates
- Voice notes and audio recordings
- Photos attached to submissions, assignments, or announcements
- Messages sent through the in-app chat
- Schedule events
Device and usage information
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token — used only to send push notifications to your device
- Basic app usage data collected by Firebase Analytics (anonymous, aggregated)
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Clarix service
- To send push notifications about assignments, grades, and messages
- To allow teachers to manage their class, students, and content
- To allow parents to follow their child's progress
- To improve app performance and fix issues
4. Data storage and security
All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Storage), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow Firebase's security rules to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to see.
5. Who can see your data
- Teachers can see their own students' names, submissions, grades, and progress.
- Students can see their own assignments, grades, and feedback.
- Parents can see their linked child's schedule and progress.
- No user can see data from a different teacher's class.
- We (Ahsan / Clarix) do not read individual user content except when required to investigate a reported issue.
6. Third-party services
Clarix uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications (Firebase Privacy Policy)
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — delivery of push notifications on iOS
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (RevenueCat Privacy Policy)
We do not integrate advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics tools beyond Firebase.
7. Children's privacy
Clarix may be used by students who are minors. Student accounts are created exclusively by teachers and are not publicly accessible. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent from a teacher or school authority. If you believe a child's data has been collected without appropriate authorisation, contact us at clarix@haaa.in.
8. Data retention and deletion
Teachers can delete all class data (assignments, submissions, announcements, grades) at any time from within the app. When a teacher deletes their account, all associated data — including enrolled student and parent accounts and all uploaded files — is permanently deleted from our servers.
Students or parents wishing to delete their data should contact their teacher or email us directly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Clarix after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
